Capital Modern Tour (1:00PM - 4:00PM)
Saturday, August 9, 1–4 pm Capital Modern Tour
The afternoon starts at the Art Gallery of Alberta with a special presentation on two key urban revitalization projects: Enterprise Square and the new Art Gallery of Alberta building designed by Randall Stout. A guided bus tour follows with stops at key sites. Last year’s tour was very successful and sold out so book early. This year we brought back the same architectural experts, and are offering for sale the beautiful catalogue for the exhibition Capital Modern as a guide book to take home. This tour is a rare opportunity to see some hidden Modern gems and take part in a discussion with some of the city’s best architectural minds. The Capital Modern Tour offers an inside look at the architecture and urban planning that made Edmonton one of the most progressive cities in the country for its time. Join The Art Gallery of Alberta’s Capital Modern Curators: Shafraaz Kaba and Troy Smith for an afternoon of discovery and inspiration. General Public: $20 / AGA and MADE Members: $15 For tickets call 780.422.6223 or visit the AGA
