From 12–4 pm, Davey Thompson and Stephanie Jonsson will be leading hands-on art projects in the studio spaces, while families enjoy exploring the gallery and racing to finish their scavenger hunt. At 12:30 and 2:30pm, visitors will be treated to a live performance of contemporary and traditional Aboriginal music and dance, performed by Freshly Squeezed. Visitors can also walk through the AGA’s current exhibitions F.H. Varley: Portraits Into the Light, GENERATION¸ small, Re-Drawing the Line and Window Dressing.
QUALICO, one of Western Canada’s largest real estate development companies, announced its generous donation to the AGA’s New Vision new building project in September 2007. Their generous support will be recognized in the naming of QUALICO Family Day--a yearly AGA event each Family Day that enables the community to enjoy free access and programming in the new gallery, opening in 2009, as well as the interim space at Enterprise Square.
